Does my child need speech/ language therapy?
You know your child best! If you feel that they are having difficulty saying certain sounds, following directions, interacting with others, learning and using new words, forming sentences, etc., schedule a consultation call with Kristin.
-
How are therapy sessions structured?
If your child is new to speech/language therapy, an initial evaluation would be conducted. Based on the results of this evaluation, a treatment plan is discussed and created. Progress would be monitored and reported throughout therapy. Sessions can vary in length from 30-60 minutes depending on the child’s tolerance, needs, and time constraints. Each session includes time for parent consult to ensure carryover of skills at home.

Do you take insurance?
Statement Speech Therapy is currently private pay only at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.
If preferred, a superbill can be generated detailing therapy services provided. You can then submit this superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please contact your specific insurance companny regarding acceptance of superbills.

My child is currently receiving speech and/or language therapy services at school, can he/she also receive services from you too?
Yes! Many parents choose to supplement their child’s school-based services with private sessions, especially when the child is young. Private therapy sessions can be flexibly scheduled allowing for your child to benefit from both school-based as well individualized, private therapy services.

Where are therapy sessions conducted?
Sessions can take place at a variety of locations including your home, a local park, or libraries. Sometimes private services can take place at after school centers, or even during the child’s school day. This would be discussed during the treatment planning process.
